May 2018 - Present Sofware Engineering Coach at Makers (London, UK)
Training career changers to become junior software engineers.
As a coach, my responsibilities cover:
Working with developers to guide them towards their goals, focusing on self-learning and improving their processes.
Creating and improving curriculum, including workshops, projects and challenges.
Tracking developers' progress and supporting them according to their needs.
Beyond my coaching responsibilities, I also lead wherever I feel a gap. For me, this mostly comes from raising issues, delivering feedback, catching things that get dropped and inspiring others to be their best through engaging conversations.
In 2018, I was part of the small team that launched Makers Apprenticeship (a level 4 Software Engineer qualification):
I worked with Makers' Head of Education to align the programme's goals to the standard.
Suggested and implemented ways to smoothly accomodate cohorts and staff in our new building.
Created a week of curriculum dedicated to algorithmic complexity which received high praise by staff and students alike
As the acting CTO and first tech employee, I helped shape what the product would be, set up the technical roadmap for several projects and managed interns and an outsourced team of developers, as well as a million of small things that just need to be done in such a small company.
Set up services using Docker, researched technologies like tensorflow and chatbots, created a few React + Graphcool prototypes (like this one)
Product owner for a remote Ruby-on-Rails team using Jira for tickets and user stories.
2005 French Baccalauréat, Scientific series, International Option (British English)

2018 Registered STEM Ambassador. Volunteer experience in a secondary school career day.
2016 As I left Facebook and contemplated a career change, I took a mostly solo trip around the world. The goal was to meet people and see how others were living their lives and choosing their paths. I had the chance to travel to Canada, the USA, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Israel and Turkey.
2015 Designed invitations and visual identity for my best friend's wedding.
